Please refer to the chart below to determine which team your daughter will try out for applicable to the 2024-2025 club season

TRYOUT INFORMATION

• Please arrive prepared and EARLY to your designated tryout date & time.
• Players MUST complete both the WEVA membership AND a VOLT VBC registration form PRIOR to tryouts. We will not accept late registrations!
• We ask that players arrive 20-30 minutes prior to their designated tryout start time as we will need time to get players checked in, confirm registration information, and assign you a number to wear throughout the tryout process.
• It is HIGHLY encouraged that prospective players attend BOTH tryout dates to be considered
• Come equipped with appropriate sneakers, knee pads, and a water bottle.  
• Please enter Perry High School through the main entrance doors. Inside we will have a registration table set-up where players will need to confirm their name, age group, VOLT registration, & WEVA MEMBERSHIP- PLEASE HAVE IN HAND & READY TO GO PRIOR TO TRYOUTS.
• However, tryouts are closed which means absolutely no parents or public are allowed in the gym during the tryout process. We have limited space and want to ensure an environment that allows coaches and evaluators to fairly assess all prospective athletes. 
• VOLT Volleyball has coaches/evaluators assigned to managing player evaluations and the team selection process through drills & assessments!

How Do We Select Players?

The Club Directors make the final decision on all roster placements with input from the coaching staff. 

Selection for VOLT teams will be based but not limited to the following criteria:

1.  Player performance during tryouts (skill level, effort, interaction with coaches and other players, athleticism)
2. Athletic potential and development
3. Attitude, Attitude, Attitude
4. Player evaluations from last year or previous club experience
5. Past history of parental involvement or behavior
6. Be respectful to your coaches and other players. Show that you are coachable by listening and being able to take feedback.
7. Hustle, do your best, and most of all, HAVE FUN!!
